Gigafone Announces Strategic Marketing Partnership with AIS Thailand

Gigafone, the Mobile Marketing Solutions pioneer, today announced that it is delivering its RingMate mobile marketing platform to Advanced Info Services (AIS), Thailand’s largest mobile operator.

Gigafone is providing a white label version of its platform to AIS which the Thai operator is deploying to deliver an innovative mobile marketing programme, supported by Sony BMG. The programme, called Calling Bonus, will use Gigafone’s patented preference based platform to deliver the latest news, sounds and clips to opt-in AIS consumers.

Sony BMG is supporting Calling Bonus as lead media partner, providing images and movie clips of Thailand’s favourite movie, pop and rock stars to Calling Bonus subscribers. Promotions and advertising are non intrusive, displayed in full screen static and video with incoming calls and messages.

Calling Bonus is provided free to subscribers, enabling brands and media owners reach opt-in subscribers eager to personalise their mobile and stay connected to the latest trends and fashions.

“Gigafone is very excited to bring together AIS and Sony BMG through our RingMate mobile advertising platform. Text messages and voice calls are two services that almost everyone uses and understands. We looked to leverage this with a unique full screen offering to engage opt-in subscribers with sponsored content through our unobtrusive trigger,” said Gregory Khaldey, Founder and President, Gigafone.

Gigafone is recognised by partners as adding value throughout the mobile marketing value chain, offering personalisation potential to users, revenue generation to operators and a creative platform for advertisers and agencies.
